Vertigo
The fear of open spaces (agoraphobia) can be simply described as a lingering remnant from the human's normal
developmental stages. In this stage of normal development, the individual, in order to feel secure in the face of
the vast expanse before them, does not solely rely on the impression of seeing themselves as a whole but
instead seeks the security provided by the tactile sensations. When the human stands upright on two feet and
becomes a mere "eye-being," a faint sense of insecurity remains. (Wilhelm Worringer, 2017; p.25)
